Investigator, patient, and family support

MICYRN partnered with Children’s Healthcare Canada and the Pediatric Chairs of Canada to sponsor a video developed by N2 (Network of Networks), which is available to research units and children’s hospitals across Canada. This educational video promotes child and family awareness of involvement in clinical research. Investigators use this tool to discuss how research can help children all over the world; explain common terms and language used in clinical trials; and how to sign up for research.

MICYRN was granted a seat on the N2 Pediatric Clinical Trials and Awareness Committee, and supported the work of a comic coloring book—a complementary tool to the educational video. The book is available as recruitment material for N2 members to post on their websites, provide as handouts for research appointments, or leave in waiting rooms for visitor use.
