Innovative approaches to investigator-initiated, multicentre paediatric clinical trials in Canada

Recognizing the urgent need for infrastructure in Canada that supports multi-jurisdictional clinical trials for children, in a recent article investigators examined the iPCT project (Innovative Pediatric Clinical Trials), which uses a centralized trial management structure and is recruiting at six pediatric ERs in four provinces. The authors made observations on obstacles for multisite trials and provide lessons learnt to optimize feasibility and quality.
